GTT order (good till triggered)
A GTT order is a trigger your broker keeps on its own systems, often for up to a year, instead of at the exchange. When the price reaches the trigger, the broker places a normal order. Swing traders use GTTs to keep a stop or target in place for days or weeks.
Because the order is placed only when the trigger is hit, it can be rejected at that moment, for example if the stock is at its circuit limit or your shares are pledged. Check your broker's rules for how its GTT works.
